Prospect All-Church retreat

Due to scheduling issues, Prospect's all-church retreat at Johnsonburg had to be canceled. 

​

Instead, we will host a one-day retreat at Prospect entitled Teach Us to Pray.

​

This is a time to worship, fellowship and learn together. Pastors and leaders from our extended community will join Jessica and other Prospect leaders to teach workshops on various prayer practices which could include (we havnt planned them all yet):

• prayer through music

• praying the labyrinth

• historical prayers of the church

• praying the psalms

• prayer beads

• contemplative prayer

• the examine

• Lectio Divina

• praying in color

• body prayer

• prayer in nature (this one could be a field trip to South Mountain for a hike and take two sessions)

• silent prayer 

• praying aloud/community prayer

• writing prayers

• praying with those who are ill, dying, or grieving 

• play as prayer 

• creating a regular prayer practice
