Thank you

Donations allow our church community to grow and thrive in our mission to help others experience the word and love of God.

Giving to Prospect

Prospect Presbyterian Church (PPC) is a charitable organization that relies on the financial generosity of its members, friends, and neighbors in order to serve our congregation and the wider community. As you explore how you would like to give to Prospect, please consider these ways of giving:

· Regular pledge payments and other offerings can be made online [link to (current) PPC “Give” webpage - https://www.prospectchurch.org/give here].]

· Cash or checks are always welcome and checks may be mailed to the church office at any time. Cash or checks may be brought in person to worship or to the church office when open.

· Gifts of Appreciated Stock/Mutual Funds [link to page 2] – There are potential tax advantages for donors of these kinds of assets.

· Gifts aka “Grants” from a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) [link to page 3] or other charitable foundations may be directed to PPC.

· Gifts of Life Insurance: You can designate PPC to be a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or other financial products. Check with your insurance/financial advisor for more information.

· Gifts through your IRA: If you are 72 or older (recently increased from 70½), you can directly transfer funds from your IRA via a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) that will count towards your required minimum distribution (RMD) and also be tax-free in most cases. Check with your IRA manager for more information.

· Gifts through your Will/Estate Plans: You can remember Prospect Church in your will by designating a specific percentage or dollar amount of your estate.

· You can also find more information about ways to give from The Presbyterian Foundation [link to PCUSA foundation webpage - https://www.presbyterianfoundation.org/ways-to-give/ here]

[The following could be on a separate page or included on the overview page]

Gifts may be made weekly, monthly or at other intervals. We encourage our members and supporters to make a pledge or “estimate of giving” each year with your best estimate for the upcoming Fiscal Year (July 1 – June 30) which will help the Session and Finance team to effectively plan for the church’s annual operations, programs, and mission giving. Note that your pledge/estimate of giving is not legally binding and may be adjusted up or down if needed due to changing circumstances.

Look for occasional articles and announcements from the Finance Ministry with more information about some of these giving approaches or contact us via the Church Office with any questions or requests for more information.

For additional information or referral to the Finance Ministry please contact the Church office at (973) 763-2090 or by email to office@prospectchurch.org.

To confirm tax deductibility or address other personal financial issues, we encourage you to consult a Tax Advisor or official resources regarding options appropriate for your individual financial/tax situation.
